July 2022 - Tips to save on gas

Gas prices have climbed steadily in the past few months (with a small drop in the last week or so) and we can expect still higher prices in the future.

Driving less is an obvious help but not always practical for many of us.

A few tips from the expert that could save us up to 20% in fuel next year:

*ACCELERATE SMOOTHLY. Stomping on the accelerator can increase fuel consumption by 39%.

*AVOID AGGRESSIVE BREAKING - take your foot off of the gas and glide to a stop.

*CHECK PRESSURE - under inflated tires increases fuel consumption by 4%

*KEEP CAR STREAMLINED - remove roof and bike racks when not in use.

*FOLLOW MANUFACTURER'S PLAN - keep engine tuned, oil clean and the front end aligned to optimize gas savings.
