Calvary Compass – June 17, 2025 - Calvary United Church, www.calvaryuc.ca
Dear Friends of Calvary,
Thank you to Rev. Michelle Owens for leading our worship service on Sunday. It was quite enlightening. We don't usually discuss Proverbs so it was interesting to hear her sermon on one of them.
Thankfully we still have hymn books in the pews because technology threw a blip in the mix last Sunday. However, we were able to adapt easily. Thank you to Ken and Tim for trying to sort out the issue.
This Sunday, June 22nd, will be our last Sunday School session until the Fall.
There will always be paper work available that the children can do during the summer services.
There will be a Coffee Hour again this Sunday after our worship service.
Worship Services are all live-streamed:
June 22 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JaTTiG9aH0

LONDON FOOD COALITION
On June 15th, the Minute for Mission discussed the London Food Coalition. If anyone is interested in volunteering to pick up and drop off food, please contact the London Community Chaplaincy at 519-472-2459. A member of our congregation indicated after the service that Metro donates food on a regular basis to the London Homeless community at the former Infotech building on Queens Ave and Adelaide.
CANADIAN RED CROSS APPEAL TO SUPPORT WILDFIRE RELIEF
The Government of Canada and the Government of Manitoba will match donations to the Manitoba Wildfire Appeal from May 28 to June 27, 2025. Every $1 donated will become $3 to support the families and individuals most affected by the wildfires.
If you wish to help fellow Canadians during these devastating times, you can do so by donating at: give.redcross.ca. Donations received by June 27 will ensure that every dollar donated will be multiplied X3 to maximize your support to our neighbours in need.

to God my exceeding joy,
and I will praise you with the harp,
O God, my God.
