SHARED MINISTRY SURVEY

The Southwest London Shared Ministry Churches: Riverside, Calvary, Wesley-Knox and White Oaks have surpassed the first anniversary of the Shared Ministry Initiative and the Coordinating Committee would like the congregations of the 4 churches to provide thoughts to help them move forward in this new model of ministry. Printed copies of the survey were made available in the sanctuary last Sunday and will continue to be available until the June 30th deadline.

Please take a few minutes to complete either the printed survey so that the Coordinating Committee and Ministers have a better idea what direction you would like the Shared Ministry to go. Your comments will help all of us to continue to learn, grow and improve.

These completed surveys can be left on the offering plates or dropped off at the office.

CALVARY GREEN TEAM

HELP WANTED! HELP NEEDED please!

We have very few regulars on our WATER teams. To clarify, the week you select may need very little watering. We have experienced lots of rainy days the last few summers. You do not have to water the entire garden. The flowering plants need the most attention. You pick the time and day. Certainly not a daily chore and possibly a few times over the week. All plants are well established and you can be the judge as to what needs attention. We will provide details.

The sign-up sheets are on the bulletin board in the hall. Thank you for your consideration.

For more information, contact Lyse Geldard -  lysegeldard@rogers.com

Milk bags - please lay flat in the bin. St. Paul's is very appreciative.

HELP END WORLD HUNGER

Food insecurity is increasing among the populations of developing countries, due to climate changes, military conflict and loss of support from the United States among others.  Canadian aid provides huge relief to millions facing starvation on a daily basis.

At the back of the sanctuary are Canadian Foodgrains Bank postcards, encouraging the Canadian government to continue supporting the efforts to prevent world hunger. Please consider signing one of these postcards and dropping it into a mailbox. No postage is required.

PSALM FOR THE WEEK

Psalm 50: 1 -2, 7, 14 - 15 Common English Bible Translation

            From the rising of the sun to where it sets,

                God, the Lord God speaks,

                    calling out to the earth.

            From Zion, perfect in beauty,

                God shines brightly.

            "Listen, my people, I will now speak;

                Israel, I will now testify against you.

                I am God -- your God!

            Offer God a sacrifice of thanksgiving!

                Fulfill the promises you made to the Most High!

            Cry out to me whenever you are in trouble;

                I will deliver you, then you will honour me."

 PRAYER FOR THE WEEK

            God of comfort,

            you are with us even when we turn from you or are

            filled with sorrow or discouraged. Grant us your peace,

            your soothing presence so we may follow you and offer our

            prayers and thanks to you in all things. Amen.

Prayer focus for the week: For those that are grieving or are in sorrow.
