LONDON COMMUNITY CHAPLAINCY

Calvary's Lenten Project for 2026 is to provide financial support to the London Community Chaplaincy. The Chaplaincy encompasses both Southdale and Limberlost Chaplaincies. The financial support will help to provide funds for the children and youth activities residing there such as after school gatherings, camping experiences, learning opportunities for teens, celebrations, sporting equipment and events,  etc.

If you are able, please address your cheque to "The London Community Chaplaincy" and NOT Calvary. There are donation envelopes at the back of the sanctuary for your use.

The Board of the London Community Chaplaincy is looking for people to join their Board of Directors. They hold monthly meetings and support the chaplaincy team events throughout the year. If you are considering joining or would like to learn more about the Board, please connect with Heather Guild  (519-860-2476).

CONFIRMATION CLASSES

The Confirmation classes for this year will be on May 1st and 2nd - Friday evening and Saturday workshop.

If your loved one is in grade 8 or older, or you are an adult, you are encouraged to reach out to Rev. Kerry if interested in being part of this year's confirmation class. Please let Rev. Kerry know by March 15th.

A mentor/sponsor accompanies the confirmed on their journey as they explore their faith, life and religion, and the mentor/sponsor develops a supportive and encouraging relationship with them. They can meet several times or on a needed basis. Often, and it is encouraged, the mentor/sponsor and confirmed meet in a local coffee shop where you discuss any questions the confirmand has after they have attended the workshops. PSALM OF THE WEEK

Psalm 84: 11, 12 from the Contemporary Version Bible translation

            Our Lord and our God,

            you are like the sun

                and also like a shield.

            You treat us with kindness

                and with honour,

            never denying any good thing

                to those who live right.

            Lord God All-Powerful,

            you bless everyone

                who trusts you.

 PRAYER FOR THE WEEK

As I/we prepare for the joy of Easter in a few weeks,

restore what has been broken within me/us and

cleanse me/us of guilt and fear.

May your Spirit renew my/our commitment

to walk in your ways so that I/we may be

a reflection of your love to all those I/we encounter. Amen.

Prayer focus: For Peacemakers at home and abroad.
