Calvary Compass – May 20, 2026 - Calvary United Church, www.calvaryuc.ca

Dear Friends of Calvary,

Hopefully you had a nice long weekend. With the weather being warm and sunny, hopefully you were able to get some of your outside jobs started or done.

This is a reminder that the mulch for the gardens arrives this Thursday and the Calvary Green team would appreciate all the volunteers who are willing to help distribute and spread the mulch. Please remember to bring your own shovel and rake. If it rains on Thursday, the group will meet on Friday. Both starting times are at 9:00 am.

This Saturday, (May 23rd) Calvary's Scouting Group is holding a bottle and can drive. If you have any liquor bottles, beer bottles or cans or other returnable bottles, there will be someone in the church parking lot from 9: 00 - 11:00 am to take them. Thank you in advance for contributing.

Worship Services are all live-streamed:

            Yahweh is great in Zion,

            And He is exalted above all the peoples,

            Let them praise Your great and awesome name;

            Holy is He.

            The strength of the King loves {c}justice;

            You have established {d}equity;

            You have done justice and righteousness in Jacob.

            And worship at the footstool of His feet;

            Holy is He.

Creator God. as we continue to enjoy the beauty of the change of seasons, we give you thanks for all that Your creation reveals to us. Renew our strength when we feel weary and grant us wisdom in our daily decisions. Surround each of us with Your peace, and let this be a season of grace, growth, and renewed hope. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Prayer focus this week: for the transgender and non-binary persons, who are beloved children of God.
