CALVARY'S BAZAAR - NOVEMBER 1ST

ATTENTION ALL BAKERS

The Annual Bazaar is coming up more quickly than we realized! Saturday November 1st. Just 2 1/2 weeks to make your special treats which have made the Bake Sale such a success in the past! When everyone does a little, there is a great selection! (no full pies or cakes, please. Tarts, squares, cookies or small loaves seem to sell well.)

We plan to package and price items on Friday morning the 31st of October. We will be at the church to receive items at 9:00 am. Anyone looking to be involved may join us to pack on Friday or sell on Saturday.

If you are planning to bake ahead of time and are looking for freezer space, contact: Brenda Radforth - 519-685-6196 or Liz Macdonald - 519-663-5020.

APPLE CRISP FIRE SALE

The Outreach Committee made more apple crisp than we needed for this year's Harvest Dinner. As a result, there were an over abundance of leftovers. The Committee has decided to have a "fire sale" on Apple Crisp starting this Sunday until the supply is gone.

Apple Crisp will be selling for $4 per container or two containers for $7.

Money from the sales will be included in the profits from the Harvest Dinner and forwarded to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank to support CFGB's efforts to end world hunger.

Thank you for your support.

PSALM FOR THE WEEK:

Psalm 121, verse 1-2 & 8   from the Common English Bible Translation

I raise my eyes toward the mountains.

Where will my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord,

the maker of heaven and earth.

The Lord will protect you on your journeys—

    whether going or coming—

from now until forever from now.

 PRAYER FOR THE WEEK:

       Gracious and faithful God,

you bring comfort when we are anxious and the world seems upside down.

Help us find peace in your ever vigilant presence, so that we may become

who you want us to be as we go forward to serve in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

Prayer focus for the week:   Those that are in hospital or long-term care homes.
