PSALM FOR THE WEEK:

Psalm 119: 33 -36 from the Common English Bible translation

Teach me, Lord, the way of your decrees,

that I may follow it to the end.

Give me understanding, so that I may keep the law

and obey it with all my heart.

Direct me in the path of your commands,

                for there I find delight.

Turn my heart toward your statutes

                and not toward selfish gain.

PRAYER FOR THE WEEK:

            Holy God.

through Jesus Christ the good news of your enduring love

has come to dwell in this broken, weary, and anxious world.

Inspire us to be beautiful messengers of your abundant

grace, in times of celebration and in times of sorrow.

May it always be so. Amen.

Prayer focus for this week: For those going through cancer treatments.
