Dear Friends of Calvary,
Next Sunday, October 4, we will be celebrating World Wide Communion.
Following the service, the results of the Shared Ministry Survey will be discussed. If you have questions, this may be an opportunity to have them answered. Kristen Goodman and Bill Butt are our representatives on the Shared Ministry Council.
Next Sunday evening is our Harvest Dinner. If you have not bought your tickets yet, please contact Kim in the office to see if there are any left. Some of the youth will be helping to set tables and clear the tables for the supper.
If you have not received your Catalyst by email, please let Kim know. She sent it out last week. There are also printed copies of the Catalyst at the back of the sanctuary.
On Wednesday, September 30, if you can, wear your orange shirt to recognize Truth and Reconciliation Day!

VEGETARIAN HARVEST DINNER
Calvary's Vegetarian Harvest Dinner in support of Canadian Foodgrains Bank will be held on Sunday, October 4th at 5 pm. This buffet meal will be prepared and served by the Outreach Committee and others in the Lower Hall.
Tickets are $20 for adults and free for children 10 years and under. Tickets can be purchased, if still available, from the church office.
CANADIAN FOODGRAINS BANK 2026 FUNDRAISING INITIATIVE
This time of the year marks the beginning of Calvary's annual fundraising to support our neighbours around the world who are facing food insecurity and possible famine.
Donation envelopes are available in the church sanctuary and can be put into the offering plates OR dropped off or mailed to the church office at:

1. Make cheque payable to " Canadian Foodgrains Bank".
2. Write " Caradoc Growing Project" in the Memo line in the bottom, left hand corner of the cheque.
3. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Cheques must NOT be made out to the church as there is no way to process them.
4. We request that your donations be received by Oct 25, 2026.

MESSY CHURCH
On Friday, October 9th, the Shared Ministry Churches are hosting a Messy Church event at Riverside United Church. This event is for everyone in a family - the parents, the children, the grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. There will be activities to do, transitional group activity and a meal of hot dogs/veggie dogs, veggies. juice and cookies. Everyone is welcome to come! The Theme is Super Heroes!

In preparation for the Nov. 7th church bazaar, a large plastic container has been placed on the table by the parking lot door if you have any of the following to donate to the jewelry table, please put them in the container.

PRAYER TEAM
We know prayer is essential, for ourselves and for those we care about. Calvary's prayer team prays for those who share with them their concerns, sorrows, joys and gratitude. Your requests are kept confidential and only shared with the prayer team, if that is your desire. Please contact Rev. Kerry with your prayer requests. Your requests may also be left in the Prayer Box on the credenza at the Ridout entrance of the sanctuary (anonymously) if desired. You are also invited to join the Prayer Team and if interested speak to Kerry or Kris Goodman about becoming a member of this important work for our congregation.
LONDON COMMUNITY CHAPLAINCY
Calvary continues to collect non-perishables for the Chaplaincy. There are blue plastic buckets for your donations in the sanctuary and hallway. Their greatest needs are breakfast food such as oatmeal, cold cereals, peanut butter, snack items such as juice drinking boxes, nut-free granola bars. Thank you for your generousity.
