Dear Friends of Calvary,

Rev. Kerry has returned from his vacation. Because of the Shared Ministry Rotation schedule, he will be preaching at Wesley-Knox UC this Sunday. Rev. Karlene Kimber will be conducting our worship service.

If you have an opportunity, check out the Garfield door entrance and the Parking lot entrance, Bryan Kussner (Christine and Dick Kussner's son) and his son have painted both entrance ways. They did a wonderful job.

Dale Balaski repaired the Garfield porch railing and post so that now it is sturdier.

Thank you to our Property Committee for making sure that our church building is properly maintained.

Thank you to Marg LaRocque and other Property Committee members who have acted as the custodian on Sunday mornings this summer.

The next edition of the Compass will be Tuesday, August 25th. The weekly editions of the Compass will re-start on Tuesday, September 8th.

CHAMPION

The next meeting of this group for ages 55+ is Wednesday, August 19th. The parlour is air conditioned so when it is hot outside, it is nice and cool inside.

            Steadfast love and faithfulness will meet

            Faithfulness will spring up from the ground,

            The Lord will give what is good,

 PRAYER FOR THE WEEK

            O God, we listen intently to hear your words for our lives.

            Like the breath we breathe, we inhale your steadfast love

            and faithfulness. We then exhale your love and peace

            to all those we meet.
