Dear Friends of Calvary,

It is hard to believe that July is almost over. Hopefully everyone has been able to cope with the heat, the smoke and the unsettled weather.

Rev. Kerry is on vacation from July 27th - August 11th. If you have a Pastoral Care Emergency, please call Kim and she will connect you with the minister covering for Pastoral Care.

While Kev. Kerry is away, our worship services will be covered by Rev. Karlene Kimber on August 2nd and August 16th and Bill Butt on August 9th.

The office will be closed on Tuesday, August 4th, due to the Civic Holiday.

Bryan Kussner will be painting the parking lot alcove starting this Tuesday (28th). Please be mindful of this if you are coming in the parking lot door. All of the jars and other things in that area have been moved to other areas to accommodate the painting.

The next edition of the Compass will be August 11th. There will be a Compass edition on August 25th and then the weekly Compass will return on September 8th.

As a reminder for the summer, the church office will only be open Tuesdays - Thursdays from 9:00 am to 12 Noon. You can always leave messages on the church's answering machine when Kim is not there.

Life*Spin operates a free store for those in need. It has come to our attention that they are running low on summer clothes. If you are interested in donating, they accept donations on

Tuesdays: 10:00 a.m. - 1:45 p.m.

CHAMPION

The next meeting is Wednesday, August 5th. The parlour is air conditioned so when it is hot outside, it is nice and cool inside.

SAVE THE DATE

The annual Calvary Harvest Dinner will be held on October 4, 2026. This totally vegetarian meal is a fundraiser in support of Canadian Foodgrains Bank, and always sells out. Tickets will go on sale from the church office and at Tuckey's Home Hardware starting September 9th and during coffee hour after church starting on September 13.

Further details will follow closer to the date.

PRIDE PARADE

Thank you to those who participated in the London Pride Parade on Sunday, July 19th.

FALL BAZAAR

 Right now, the fruits and vegetables are in season and available. If you like to make preserves and jams, please make some extra to sell at our Fall Bazaar. It will be in November. Please remember to use brand new lids for the preserves and jams. We are selling to the public so we must make sure that everything meets the proper standards.

If you are cleaning out cupboards or drawers, please remember that the Gently Used and the Jewelry/Scarf sections would appreciate your finds.

            truth of your life-giving love. Overcome any doubts or fears

            that we may have, so we can continue to follow your

            Son's ways. Amen.
