PSALM FOR THE WEEK
Psalm 36: 5, 7, 8, 9 New International Version Bible Translation
Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the skies.
How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!
People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
They feast on the abundance of your house;
you give them drink from your river of delights.
For with you is the fountain of life;
in your light we see light.
PRAYER FOR THE WEEK
O God of light and love,
your Son chose the path that led to pain before joy and the cross
before glory. Plant His cross to be in our hearts, so that in its power
and love we may come at last to joy and glory. All this we ask through
Jesus Christ, our Saviour, teacher and friend, who lives and reigns with
You and the Holy Spirit, one God. Now and Forever. Amen.
