Dear Friends of Calvary,
Hopefully the cooler weather is over and the sun will be shining more. The weather people say that this has been the coldest May in several years.
This coming weekend is the Annual Antler River Watershed Regional Meeting in Sarnia. Rev. Kerry will be away attending it. Bill Butt will lead Sunday Worship.
We appreciate the group that helped distribute the mulch on Friday. After initialling cancelling, it was decided to go ahead after all! Thank you to all who have helped make our gardens beautiful. Thank you to all those who have volunteered to water the gardens this summer.

BABY SHOWER FOR OUR MUSIC DIRECTOR DENISE JUNG
We have a date! The choir are hosting a Baby Shower for Denise Jung on Sunday, June 8th following our Worship Service. All who wish to come are invited. You are welcome to contribute to a group gift (place it in an envelope marked “Denise’s gift” on the offering plate – cash is preferred), or give your own gift, or attend and bring your best wishes! If you are interested in bringing cookies or squares, contact Kim in the office. Denise and her husband Peter welcomed baby Isla on March 20th.
COMMUNITY BREAKFAST

GOLF FUN DAY AND PALESTINE LAND EXERCISE
Wesley-Knox is hosting a Golf Fun Day on Saturday, June 28th. Everyone is welcome.
On Sunday, June 22nd, Wesley-Knox is hosting a Palestine Land Exercise in order for people to better understand the history of Palestine and the conflict that is happening right now. All are welcome to attend and learn more.
PLANT SALE AND BAKE TABLE
On Saturday, June 7th, Mt. Zion United Church (471 Ridgewood Cres.) will host a Plant Sale and Bake Table. They will also have a Coffee Shop area where you can buy a coffee and a cookie and have a place to sit and enjoy. It will be held outdoors at the front of the church. If it rains, the event will be indoors in their lower hall.
CANADIAN FOODGRAINS BANK AND THE CARDOC GROWING PROJECT BLESSING OF THE FIELDS
The Blessing of the fields will be held on June 4 at 7 pm at the Bolton's farm at 1417 Napperto Road, West of the Kerwood Road.
Blessings will be offered for both the fields on the Bolton and McCracken farms, a total of 27 acres grown in support of CFGB.
Immediately after this, Jack Koetsier, who recently returned from a Learning Tour with CFGB in Zimbabwe, will speak on how your donations are making an important difference to hungry people in Zimbabwe.
Please bring your own lawn chair!
