Scripture Readings:  Psalm 119: 137 - 144;  Luke 19: 1 - 10;

PSALM FOR THE WEEK:

Psalm 32: 1 -2; 6 -7; from the New International Version Bible translation

            Blessed is the one

                whose transgressions are forgiven,

                whose sins are covered.

            Blessed is the one

                whose sin the Lord does not count against them

                and in whose spirit is no deceit.

            Therefore, let all the faithful pray to you

                while you may be found;

            surely the rising of the mighty waters

                will not teach them.

            You are my hiding place;

                you will protect me from trouble.

 PRAYER FOR THE WEEK:

            Loving and gracious God,

            You lift us up in times of despair and trouble.

            Fill us with the hope of your son, Jesus Christ through

            the gift of prayer, so that we may always do the work you have

            set before us. May it always be so. Amen.

 Prayer focus: For those serving Jesus here and in foreign lands.
