PSALM FOR THE WEEK
Psalm 62: 5-7 from the World English Bible translation
For God alone my soul waits in silence,
for my hope is from him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress: I shall not be shaken.
On God rest my deliverance and my honour;
my mighty rock, my refuge is in God.
PRAYER FOR THE WEEK
O God, rich in mercy and hope, you look with compassion on this troubled world.
Grant us your grace, and the wisdom and humility that comes from you, through Jesus Christ, our friend, teacher and Saviour. Amen.
Prayer focus for this week: For the world’s political leaders gathering at the United Nations.
